Alabama camping just got interesting

Want to camp on an island?? Yeah, you do.

Dauphin Island Campground allows tent camping and RVs. Surround yourself with secluded beaches, an estuarium, Audubon bird sanctuary, and historic fort…and did we mention, you’re camping on an island??

One guest review of Dauphin Island Park and Beach from Google says:

This is a great RV park! There are many snowbirds that stay here, but they also have some open sites and they also have tent camping. It is easy access to the beach, the bird sanctuary, the estuarium and Fort Gaines. The ferry is also right across the road. Take it across the bay to the Gulf Shores side and Fort Morgan (not quite as good as visiting Ft. Gaines though). There is a playground for the kids located right by the laundry room and public bathrooms with showers. The office, of course, has some grocery items available as well. Everyone here is friendly and they offer lots of weekly activities. The price is reasonable and it is definitely worth staying here!

Are there restaurants close to Dauphin Island Campground?

Yes! Check out this list!

Tips to know before booking this Alabama campsite:

  • Purchase all food and supplies before coming to the island. While there is a tiny gas station store, it won’t have all the necessary items you may need to camp.

  • Don’t expect luxury, but do expect clean bathrooms and great beach access.

  • WiFI is almost non-existent and cell service is spotty. Come to relax. Don’t come here and plan to work while camping.
